3.1 Inscription Changes [Updated]
Patch 3.1 PTR is now being tested:
- Trainable recipes are now listed here – including new glyphs and Twilight Tome (off-hand). These are all confirmed available on the PTR.
- No known new discoveries yet.
- No summoned Lexicon of Power. Zarhym confirms that no Lexicon is required to change specs.
- New Grand Master trainer (Arthur Denny) and vendor (Fanii) at the Argent Tournament, on the north-east side of Icecrown. They do not teach or sell anything new. Yet.

More Interactive Fishing?
Jon LeCraft (Profession designer and self-confessed fishing enthusiast) appears in the latest Blizzcast, discussing fishing!
Different types of fish will still be found in different locations, but Jon is considering a change to the way fish are physically caught: “I think the biggest thing right now is going to be the mechanic. It still isn’t… it’s just not that fun, and we really want the act of fishing to be fun. … I think more interactive is going to be the way to go.”
Fishing will also remain a useful profession in Wrath of the Lich King: “Something that happened and worked out really well in Burning Crusade is the unique fish that cook into the types of food you can’t get anywhere else. The Golden Darters and the Spicy Crawdads, those really helped keep fishing relevant. We’ll do some more of those, although maybe not to that extreme of a swing.”
