3.1 Sea Turtle [Updated]

First illustrated catch of the ultra-rare Sea Turtle, by Darthnublar. Image updated to show latest colors. This came from a Glacial Salmon School on the 3.1 PTR (not yet live). Elorwyn also caught one from Moonglow Cuttlefish School. It should be possible to catch the mount from any Northrend pool. The mount gives a swim speed increase of 60% (according to the tooltip). Catching it awards the achievement “Turtles all the way down”.

3.1 Role of Fishing Skill

Patch 3.1 (not yet live) changes the role of fishing skill. Each location still requires a certain skill to fish without ~~“get-aways”~~ catching junk items. But you can now cast everywhere at skill 1. This technical analysis shows precisely how much junk will be caught at different skill levels. The change makes gear and skill less important when fishing in Northrend. Learn more.

Summoned Lexicon of Power

Coming in patch 3.1, from the Talent Dual Spec Q&A:

Scribes will make an item that allows a Lexicon of Power to be summoned.
Anyone can buy this item. It will require a group to summon, and cannot be used in combat or Arenas.
The item will exist for a short period of time, like a repair bot. No decision on whether the item will be reusable or consumed.
Lexicon of Power will remain in capital cities.

As expected, each dual spec will use a different set of glyphs.
