I've always felt the skilling in fishing is backwards. The more you train, higher your skill, the more control you should have of your casts. if you are just randomly trying to level up, you don't care where you cast, as long as you catch something, but someone that is a Master Angler should certainly be able to target and hit a pool *every* time.

Using the same type of targetting interface as an AoE such as a bomb or hunter volley would allow the more skilled to focus closer to the ultimate target - make the area of the target smaller the higher your skill.

after all, the goal is to put the lure where you attract the fish you want and catch them. not somewhere (and not always that) in a body of water you are facing.

I think it needs work. I have always felt the skilling is backwards. the process should be more like a target (like the hunter's multiple shot, or how you toss a bomb) - you trigger fishing and a target appears - too far and it's red, close in it's green, click and you have it. as you get better (like a real fisherman) you can focus closer - the target area gets smaller. soon you can target a segment of one of the pools, or perhaps it only gets as small as a pool.

that way as you skill up, you can hit where you cast, not randomly all over the place. after all, the skill is knowing where to cast, getting the lure there and catching the fish.
