Inscription: Beta 8905 Update
- Master and Grand Master Inscription ranks are now trainable. Trainers and vendors can also be found in cities in Old Azeroth. See training.
- Skill required to learn recipes between 1 and 100 has been smoothed out, and is now easier to level.
- A Mystic Tome recipe has been added (an Off-Hand, Bind on Pickup item), plus 2 extra low-level scrolls.
- Milling has been changed: Some groups of herbs now produce different pigments in slightly different volumes. Rare bonus items can also sometimes be gained from milling. See milling.
- Bloodthistle and Flame Cap are no longer millable.
- Herbs in the 225 skill (which includes Dreamfoil) and 275 skill (Outland-only herbs) groups currently do not mill into pigments. Tentatively: Burnt Pigment cannot be gained by milling. This probably means you cannot level up to 400 skill (unless you already had the materials).
- No new glyphs have been seen in Northrend (some new glyphs were added to the data files).
El’s Inscription should now be updated with changes.

will this new profession come out before the exp pack in a patch?
Inscription has been announced as a feature for those with The Burning Crusade (up to skill 375), and is expected to appear in the pre-expansion patch (due on Public Test Realms “soon”). Of course, this is something Blizzard have not finished working on yet: Anything can, and probably will change!
