4.0.6 Fishing [Updated]

Patch 4.0.6 is now on Public Test Realms. It adds:

• A new fishing cursor (illustrated).
• Bobber does not splash at the very end of the spell cast bar anymore (Moonraker's observations).
• Cooking recipe for Scalding Murglesnout - a non-buff food, cooked from 3 Murglesnout (Cooking skill 500, 3 Chef's Awards).
• Seafood Magnifique Feast cooked with 2 of each fish (down from 4).
• Recipes for Grilled Squid, Nightfin Soup, Poached Sunscale Salmon and Spotted Yellowtail now trained from cooking trainers.
• Heat-Treated Spinning Lure lasts 15 minutes (up from 5).
• Feathered Lure recipe is back.
• Glass Fishing Bobber should now give +15 skill temporarily (but is bugged).
• "Rare fishing poles" in reward from Azeroth Daily Fishing Quests (via official notes).
• Unconfirmed new Reinforced Fishing Line +1 skill pole line.
• Turtles all the Way Down (Sea Turtle achievement) description officially confirms catches from Cataclysm pools (but not Tol Barad).

   New, yes. Assuming Wowhead's data reflects what drops in-game. Thanks.

   Added: It would be useful for know how the Glass Fishing Bobber works: The data doesn't give a duration, and it may not even be a lure (so might stack in addition to lures). It is however a temporary bonus.

   Tooltip fix for "Turtles All the Way Down", saying it also works in Cata zones (which was already true)

   Other than people who were exploiting prior to the patch, I am not sure if I see where the heat-treated is worth it. Admittedly, it is more reasonable when the cost is 50g rather than when it was 300g. Am I missing something?

    Woolfer - I had a look for those Venture Co. Archaeology Crates. Based on the name only, it sounded fishy. But I didn't catch any. Of course I might have not been fishing in the correct places, of fishing for long enough, or...

    * Rare fishing poles now have a chance to be found in the Bag of Fishing Treasures earned via the Stormwind and Orgrimmar Fishing daily quests.
