3.1 is going live. Fishing highlights:
- Dalaran/Northrend Daily Fishing Quests (unconfirmed new reward: The 5 Ring)
- Sea Turtle mount (full guide added)
- Junk catches replace “get aways”
- Training from trainers, not books or quests
- Wintergrasp fishing for Fish Feasts
- More 3.1 Changes
El’s Anglin’ has been updated with all known changes. Please post errors or new discoveries on the forums. And good luck catching the turtle…

Does anyone know what filename the fish bite sound has changed to? I’ve been using FishPing for a few years now. I’m sure it’s just a simple filename issue.
\World of Warcraft\Data\Sound\Spells\TradeSkills\FishBite.wav
Katan: Try Data/Sound/Spells/FishingBobber_ver2_1.wav (or FishingBobber_ver2_2 or FishingBobber_ver2_3).

That worked perfectly! I just changed “FishBite.wav” to “FishingBobber_ver2_1.wav” and then moved it up one level to \Spells\. And just to be sure all bases were covered I made two copies and named them …ver2_2 and …ver2_3 respectively.
