3.3.3 Fishing (Updated)
From the 3.3.3 patch notes:
“The ‘Monsterbelly Appetite’ daily fishing quest has changed so it now takes place outside the Violet Hold in Dalaran. The quest still requires a Severed Arm [catch a Bloated Slippery Eel] and has been renamed to ‘Disarmed!’”
Also:
- Using a lure now automatically lures your equipped fishing pole (you no longer apply the lure directly to your pole).
- Sea Turtle jump sound – video (thanks Durth).
- New junk items from the Northrend daily Bag of Fishing Treasures – A Fantasy Portrait (pictured below) and Blank Slate (thanks Huenninjarin).
- Level 70 requirement on fishing gear from that bag (Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat and poles), to stop “twinks” using them.

WoW! Not that is was really needed, but that will be a nice timesaver. While I doubt many people are doing fishing dailies on multiple toons anymore like I’m sure many of us were months ago, I still do them from time to time, and daily (shatt and dalaran) on my unlucky toons still without a fishing hat. Thanks for the gift Blizzard.

I was no problem for me. Take Northrend Wormhole to Borean Tundra, use Kirin Tor ring to teleport back to Dalaran. Zip-zap, all done.
