Hello, right now i have mining and inscription (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Sylvanas&cn=Shaadowmoon&gn=Quite+Infamous) and im planning to give up scribing, because i dont make any money from it. So with mining, shall i have a gather profession or maybe jewelcrafting? any suggestions is welcome, my primary goal is to make money, and i dont want to spend 1754 hour on leveling up the new profession:)

Jewelcrafting is a solid money-maker, and fits well with mining. The main downside is that it takes a lot more commitment to learn all the useful recipes. Much is linked to the Dalaran daily Jewelcrafting quest. Unfortunately, if you start now, by the time you get all the gem cuts, the Cataclysm will occur, and everyone will want something else... Unless you invest a lot in prospecting Titanium Ore (for Titanium Powder).
For pure leveling speed, Herbalism is fast (especially if you can fly - perhaps 6 hours to reach 450). Obviously that's a profession that only makes money if you enjoy gathering, and some people find that constantly changing the minimap search from ore veins to flowers is annoying. In contrast, Jewelcrafting (and even more so, Inscription) can be used solely at the auction house.
